At Take Flight Farms, we incorporate horses into unique learning and therapeutic experiences. These programs are designed around the specific goals of the participants. Click on links below for specific examples.
Take Flight Farms served over 2,000 clients since 2002 and has partnered with over 34 local and regional agencies. Our clients come to us from a variety of settings including schools, military, corporations, and private and public agencies.
Depending on the individual or group goals, programs are designed as Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP), Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) or a customized combination of the two.
Equine Assisted Psychotherapy
Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) is the professional field in which one or more equines (horses, ponies, donkeys, burros, or mules) are incorporated into activities that help clients achieve emotional growth and learning.
Equine Assisted Learning
Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) is a unique approach to learning that involves interactive, goal-oriented activities with horses. Riding horses is NO LONGER a part of this program.
Equine Assisted Development
Equine Assisted Development (EAD) at Take Flight Farms (also known as teambuilding or corporate training) offers adult groups the opportunity to discover new ways to approach obstacles…by working with horses!
